Those of you who have a Droid 2 are probably still under contract and are not looking at this phone as the upgrade, but the original droid Droid owners should come third. As we have come to expect from the Droid, build quality is excellent, with lots of metal, a soft-touch finish and a sliding mechanism of luxury. The phone runs the Android operating system 2.3 Gingerbread Motoblur with the software. Verizon Moto and throw in some programs such as managing for Citrix, but there are fun things like play a lot in New HD (demo) and all Adobe Flash, you can eat. Battery life is good with the stock 1540 mAh lithium ion (a consolation for failing to 4G LTE).
The design has a masculine and stylish. The phone has four in front of the Android-capacitive buttons, which work well, DHMI 1.3a micro-micro-USB port and stereo headphone jack 3.5 mm. A small power button is high, and is a little 'hard to press. It 'best to avoid accidental power-on, but really annoying when the intention to restart the phone. Verizon says the Droid 3 is the thinnest smartphone QWERTY slider, and thinness, combined with a metal cover, it means that the back of the phone, sometimes not hot to the touch. Why? Thermal transfer of metals, thin phones, closer to the motherboard is the case.
The 4 "Gorilla Glass sporting event of the same resolution as the 4G and 4G Motorola HTC ATRIX Sensation; QHD 540 x 960 x 480 vs 800 usual, we appreciate the extra pixels when viewing Web pages and pictures, while the display 240dpi pentile two bright and clear. The phone has a tri-color LED message across the screen.

Droid 3 keyboard is one of our favorites among the side cursors. It 'large and tactile keys are not slippery. New Droid 3 is devoted to several in a row, which is highlighted in gray than black alpha keys. Special characters are masked in yellow vs. white characters, and the backlight is even and white. The keyboard slides out of the comfortable click and lock into place, is certainly a robust mechanism. The four directional arrow keys to manage the navigation and buttons for voice command, the search and the "OK". Sign "@" and "/" You do not need a secondary key presses, but only one shift key (right).
Calling and data
Data rates and reception is above average on the 3G network of Verizon. We have now received more than 1 meg down and 800k after Speedtest.net app vs 550K down on other Verizon 3G EV-DO Rev A smartphones. Our 1.8Mbps peak download down and 905kbps up. Nice. The Droid 3, Droid and 2 world is a phone: it has a Vodafone SIM card that allows you to use the radio in your GSM phone to make calls and access to 3G data outside the country where the service GSM is available. The phone is locked to Vodafone, and it means nothing to spend it with the SIM card, unless you get it unlocked. The phone is quad-band GSM and 3G HSDPA has the 850/1900 and 2100 MHz bands, meaning that technically it would work on AT & T, Verizon GSM carriers generally blocks U.S..
Call quality on the other hand, was disappointing. The high-end Motorola phones are generally both excellent reception and sound quality. The voice of our Droid 3 of the arrival sounded a bit muffled, so we had to listen carefully to understand every word. Our call recipients said we sounded digitized and not very clear. The speakerphone is loud and clear, although the clarity suffers a bit if the call quality is less than stellar.

Performance
The Droid has a 3 OMAP4430 dual core CPU clocked at 1 GHz IT. It's the same processor used in the tablet BlackBerry playbook, and this is no exception. The phone feels responsive despite requests Motoblur added interface improvements. Screens quickly draw, play 3D games without problems and Adobe Flash 10.3 works fine. The phone score an impressive reference Quadrant 2477, putting it on par with Android smartphones faster dual core.
The phone has 512 MB of RAM (not much) and 16 GB of internal storage with 1.5 GB of storage applications and 11.3 GB of data storage for free for use. There is a microSD card slot under the battery cover (no need to pull the battery), but does not include the card.
Software
Android OS 2.3.4 gingerbread is on board, and is currently the latest version of the phone operating system from Google. This version can make video calls with Google Talk, but unfortunately, the Droid 3 does not support it (maybe it will come in the future). The software runs Motoblur Droid 3, a combination of improved interface and the integration of social networks. No need to create an account using the phone Motoblur and interface enhancements are not the kind over the top, we saw the beginning of Motoblur Android phones. There are a variety of widgets Motorola may choose to use on or off. These widgets include wireless controllers, analog clock, calendar, bookmarks, Citrix bookmarks, sticky notes, traffic, weather and social networking. . My application includes accounts Backup Assistant Motorola, Google, Microsoft Exchange synchronization, email, Facebook, Flickr, LinkedIn, MySpace, Photobucket, Picasa, Twitter, Visual Voice Mail, Yahoo Mail, and YouTube accounts.
We are neutral in this version Motoroblur not wow us, not to irritate us.
Battery life
3 Droid The 1540 mAh lithium-ion battery that easily powered by a day of moderate use, with push e-mail that included two accounts, internet sporadic throughout the day, 30 minutes of voice calls, play some videos on YouTube and taking pictures and video.
Camera
Imaging has not been strong in Motorola phones, but the 8-megapixel Droid 3 takes some sharp pictures, especially outdoors and in a good light. The images have decent balance of light, good color and crisp but not pixelated. There is some noise, even in well-lit outdoor shots, but nothing beyond what we see in most 5-8 megapixel phones. The Droid 3 can record 1080p video with two channels of sound, and took better video than my Moto 4G HTC 8MP Sensation, Sensation takes much better pictures. The Camera application is Droid 3 quality settings, flash control, panorama mode, and more.
Conclusion
The Droid 3 is an evolution of a strong line of smartphones Motorola's most successful. It's faster, has a high resolution screen and the camera is surprisingly decent. If you have the original and Droid have enjoyed this phone, I suggest you check the Droid 3: is much faster and the screen has been greatly improved. If you are looking for a QWERTY keyboard, high-end smartphone from Verizon Wireless, 3 Droid should be on your list.
