Motorola Photon 4G is a well-designed and powerful phone with Android the opportunity to stay connected abroad.

Photon Motorola 4G premium seems buttoned down the fun-lovin 'EVO 3D, providing Sprint customers business-friendly features such as global roaming and support for Exchange ActiveSync. But this superphone dual-core ($ 199) is also known unleashed. That packs an 8 megapixel camera, a kickstand for watching movies on the screen and graphics QHD various muscles to play 3D games between meetings. Atrix as 4G, 4G Photon can also connect an optional docking station surfing the Web and play music and videos on TV (courtesy of Motorola webtop application). It is the ideal smartphone for work and play?
Design
Premium is the word that comes to mind when you pick up the 4G Photon. Gorilla glass screen feels solid, and we want an unusual angle of the edges of the laptop. Smoked chrome trim running outside of the phone, while the latter has a smooth finish that offers a good grip.
Another nice touch is the included metal stand that extends one-click satisfactory. Add in the control of volume and texture and the camera buttons on the right side and you have one of the best-designed Android devices this year.
Despite packing a big screen is 4.3 inch QHD 4G Photon pocket friendly. It weighs 5.8 ounces and measures 5 x 2.6 x 0.48 inches. These are the same size as the 3D HTC EVO, but the Motorola device appears slightly thinner and lighter than the HTC (6 ounces). During the screen 4G Photon, there are four menu buttons capacitive. On the power button and a headphone jack on top.
On the left side of the Photon 4G is a microUSB port and a HDMI port. You can use this link to connect your phone to your TV and enter the mirror. In this mode, you can view the menus on the screen of the laptop in a small window, and play HD video and 3D games with full screen.

Display and audio
Photon 4G has a bright and crisp display with a resolution QHD, which means 960 x 540 pixels. When we put the phone side by side with EVO 3D and played the same soccer clips on YouTube, we found that 4G photo had wider viewing angles, but the grass was a little greener on the EVO. When we were viewing the display sites as bright as 4G Photon and sharper. Overall, we prefer the screen on 4G Photon, at least in 2D.
"And 'the sound on the phone?" This is what I thought when I heard the 4G Photon back-mounted speakerphone thing to do. When the crank Foo Fighter's "Walk" is a Slacker, was tough enough to be heard in all medium-sized enterprises in the office. You'll want to stay away from overloading the input signal up, but overall we were impressed.
Keyboard
In general, we wanted to touch the keyboard 4G Photon. We could type as fast as precise and well-spaced arrangement, and we do not mind the slight hum touch. What is missing is dedicated. Com and the @ key. And even if we realize that the top row, you can write long letters by pressing the numbers, they too are almost too small to read.

The software and user interface
There is a reason Motorola has declined to use the mark for its interface Motoblur. Many users simply do not have that. Unfortunately, the square blocks and looks back. We kind of vortex of light digging model for the background default home, but the icons lining the bottom of the screen is confusing. There is no visual separation between the links and everything you put on the home screen and the Internet icon is a rectangle instead of the usual world / circle.
Users can fill out the seven screen with widgets, and defaults are necessary - if not very elegant. Swipe left to see the social-networking widget to update the status, updates, flipping as a cover-flow interface and viewing photos uploaded to Facebook friends in the same way. You can also edit the widget.
Annoyingly, the addition of the link to the home screen app takes two steps instead of the usual. This is due to 4G Photon invites you to choose between creating the initial screen, and added that the group every time App.
It is a matter of personal taste, but we like that Motorola provides menu settings a white background instead of black, it's just friendly. Another advantage: When you press and hold the Home button, you will see many new applications on Photon 4G as you would on HTC phones. We just wish we could close the programs from this menu.

4G Photon interface works well, but we prefer the user interface more polished HTC Sense and robust, especially the way that lets you launch applications from the Launcher.
